Notebook Reviews: ANNIE HALL

Woody Allen – 1977

4.5 out of 5 stars

Annie Hall is possibly Woody Allen‘s finest and most natural film (sorry Manhattan). It’s a real gem of a pictures and a true classic.

The script is perfect – and Allen is at his wisecracking best and Diane Keaton brings brings her trademark kook as the title character. The film also features a great cameo from Paul Simon – what else do you need?

Annies Hall‘s only flaw is that the ending feels abrupt – but it keeps with the realism. Essential viewing.
