Along Came Polly is a serious waste of time, effort and talent by everyone involved. This uninspired romantic comedy is terrible. There isn’t an original idea throughout the film’s entire 88 minute running time!
This so-called comedy has a great cast – Ben Stiller, Jennifer Aniston, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Debra Messing, Hank Azaria, Bryan Brown and Alec Baldwin – but they’re totally underserved by the woeful material.
This John Hamburg directed effort only gets the above rating because of the the great turns by Alec Baldwin and Philip Seymour Hoffman. If Polly comes along – avoid!
