Cameron Crowe – 2000 

Almost Famous is the film which could very well be Cameron Crowe’s masterpiece (it’s also an incredible follow-up to Jerry Maguire). A fantastic script and top-notch soundtrack loaded with great music make this an unmissable piece of cinema. Based on Crowe’s own adventures as a Rolling Stone journalist in the 1970s, the film is packed with heart and emotion. Billy Crudup impresses in a star-making turn, while the always reliable Jason Lee offers strong support as his band-mate. 

Almost Famous is recommended watch for fans of movies and music – go and see it. Now.
