Mel Gibson, Frank Grillo & Joe Carnahan Take Things To BOSS LEVEL

The mighty Mel Gibson (currently riding high after the Box Office success of Daddy’s Home 2) and Frank Grillo are in talks to star in writer-director Joe Carnahan‘s Boss Level. According to Deadline:

‘Every day, a retired special forces veteran (Grillo) is trapped in a never-ending loop resulting in his death. In order to stop his endless suffering, he must figure out who is responsible and stop them’.

That’s all we get, and while it sounds a little like a violent version of Groundhog Day, I have total confidence in Carnahan’s tough hombre style. I’m guessing Gibson is the antagonist here, but I could be wrong. No matter what, Gibson, Grillo and Carnahan make for a tough-ass combo – I’m ready for that.

Emmett/Furla/Oasis will finance the flick, which will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian, Randall Emmett and George Furla.
