Keeping Score: A Release Date For John Williams’ STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Soundtrack

One of the most iconic things about the Star Wars saga is John Williams’ rousing score. Williams is returning for J.J. Abrams’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens – and now comes news that the soundtrack will be released on December 18, 2015 – the same days as the movie’s global launch.

It’s likely the release date was chosen because of potential spoilers in the track listing (like what happened when the soundtrack to The Phantom Menace was released back in 1999). If you can’t wait then pre-order the album here.
