Hey Matt Reeves! Cast Richard E. Grant As Alfred In THE BATMAN

Look, Movies In Focus isn’t usually one for fan-casting. Sure, we all have ideas for who we would like to see in certain roles, but those sorts of dreams usually lead to broken hearts.
However, the mighty Richard E. Grant needs to be cast opposite Robert Pattinson in The Batman as Alfred Pennyworth (a role previously played by Jeremy Irons, Michael Caine and Michael Gough).
At 61 years old he’s the perfect age to play Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler in Matt Reeves’ new movie. He’s got an English accent (a requirement) and he can also display tremendous wit and warmth on-screen, making him the perfect man to trade paternal banter with Pattinson’s 30-ish Dark Knight.
The Oscar nominated Can You Ever Forgive Me? actor is also incredibly hot right now, and he’s gearing up for a supporting role in a little film Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. Want more could you want?
So, hey Matt Reeves – do us all a favour and cast Richard E. Grant as Alfred. You know that it’s the right thing to do.
The Batman is scheduled for release on 25 June 2021
