First Look: Matt Reeves Unveils Robert Pattinson As THE BATMAN
Director Matt Reeves has unveiled the first official look at Robert Pattinson as The Batman. It’s a mean and moody ‘camera test’ which shows s stylistic look at Pattison as The Dark Knight.
I’m a little torn with this.
The costume looks a bit too armour-y for my tastes, but I like the leather cowl (which has hints of Batman‘s first appearance in 1939). I’m not sure about the collar, though. It’s such a tease that tfe cut things off before we get to see the ears.
Is that also a tease of Michael Giacchino score? Is so, it sounds pretty good.
I’m as open to this as everything else about this movie – and I’m sure we’ll see much more as filming continues.
The Batman, which also stars Colin Farrell, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro and Peter Sarsgaard is scheduled to be released on June 25, 2021.
