First Full Trailer For Steven Moffat & Mark Gatiss’ DRACULA Has Some Serious Bite
Bram Stoker’s Dracula is one tale that can stand multiple interpretations. From F.W. Murnau’s Nosferatu to Todd Browning’s Dracula through to Christopher Lee‘s iconic turn and beyond, it’s a character that can be changed and adapted to work for any time period. Therefore, this new 3-part series starring Danish actor Claes Bang as the bloody Count has the potential to be great – and going from this trailer it will be.
Sherlock creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss have written this new adaptation of Stoker’s 1897 book and they appear to have stacked this new BBC/Netflix series with horror and humour. I’m not sold on the use of Iggy Pop’s ‘Lust For Life’ as the music for the trailer, but everything else is ticking the right boxes. This has serious bite.
The first episode of Dracula will air on BBC One at 9pm on New Year’s Day, 2020
