Colm Meaney’s Martin McGuinness Takes THE JOURNEY With Timothy Spall’s Ian Paisley

Irish actor Colm Meaney is set to play Martin McGuinness in director Nick Hamm’s The Journey. Timothy Spall is already onboard to play Ian Paisley in the movie which will take a fictional look at the friendship between the DUP’s Ian Paisley and Sinn Fein’s Martin McGuinness.

Divorcing Jack writer Colin Bateman penned the script which sees the duo take a fictional journey that ‘will take the biggest leap of faith and change the course of modern history‘.

Movies Focus is interested in seeing how this shapes up. It’s an interesting concept and the cast is good. I really hope this brings the goods on a creative and historical level – even if it is fictionalised.
