Christoph Waltz as the villain in Bond 24? I’m on board with that. The two time Oscar winner is apparently set to put Daniel Craig’s 007 through his paces in Sam Mendes’ latest take on the secret agent.
This news comes from the usually unreliable Daily Mail, but reporter Baz Bamigboye appears to have sources deep within EON, so he’s usually spot-on about these things. Bamigboye reports that ‘it’s not immediately evident whether the part’s friend, or foe, or a bit of both’. The Broccoli family recently sorted out a few legal wrangles which saw them gain control to the rights of iconic villain Blofeld – and Waltz would make a wonderful Blofeld. Expect Mendes and the Broccolis to pull-out all the stops to top the billion dollar grossing Skyfall.
The as-yet untitled 24th James Bond adventure begins shooting next month.
