Blu-ray Review: Classic Horror THE CHANGELING
Often cited as one of the great horror films of all-time Peter Medak’s The Changeling is one hell of a tense film. George C. Scott plays the grieving composer who rents an old mansion only to discover that he’s not as alone as he thinks. The Changeling comes with some excellent production design and visuals, while Scott gives a powerful performance as the father and husband on the edge following the death of his family.
The shadow of The Changeling looms large on a lot other horror films – including M.Night Shyamalan’s The Sixth Sense.
Special Features
This Second Sight blu-ray release is superb. You get plenty of new documentaries on the film – and one telling the (supposedly) true tale on which its supposedly based. You also get a commentary with director Peter Medak and producer Joel B. Michaels.
This is how you release a classic movie.
