Beware Robert Downey Jr’s THE VOYAGE OF DOCTOR DOLITTLE

Does anyone think that The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle is going to be anything other than terrible? It’s another disappointingly safe paycheque gig for Robert Downey Jr, who should using his Avengers clout to spread his creative wings rather than making a talking animal comedy, but whatever.

Marion Cotillard, Octavia Spencer, Oscar, Rami Malek, Craig Robinson, John Cena, Carmen Ejogo, Tom Holland Ralph Fiennes, Frances De La Tour, Selena Gomez, Kumail Nanjiani and Emma Thompson will provide animal voiceover work, while Antonio Banderas, Michael Sheen, Harry Collett and Jim Broadbent will co-star as humans.

The biggest shock of all is that Stephen Gaghan (Syriana, Gold) is writing and directing this thing – which is now shooting in London.
