Apple Studios Scores Expensive George Clooney & Brad Pitt Thriller

Movies In Focus previously told you that Ocean’s 11 co-stars George Clooney and Brad Pitt were set to reteam for a new thriller from Spider-Man director Jon Watts.  

At the time Sony, Lionsgate, Annapurna, MGM, Universal, Warner Bros, Apple and Netflix were all fighting to win the project which follows ‘two lone-wolf fixers who are assigned to the same job’.

Apple Studios won the bidding war for the film, in a deal which will also include a hefty theatrical release. 

Clooney and Pitt previously worked together on Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s 11, 12 and 13 as well as the Coen Brothers comedy, Burn After Reading. 

George Clooney will produce through Smokehouse Pictures and Brad Pitt through his Plan B Entertainment. The pair will reportedly each score eight-figure salaries for the pic.
