Acting Legend Don Johnson Joins Jeremy Saulnier’s REBEL RIDGE
The mighty Don Johnson needs no introduction to readers of Movies In Focus. The Miami Vice/Nash Bridges legend delivers each time he’s on screen and most recently he did sterling work in Watchmen and Knives Out. Johnson has now been cast alongside John Boyega in Jeremy Saulnier’s new Netflix film Rebel Ridge.
James Badge Dale, Erin Doherty, Zsane Jhe and James Cromwell will also star in the film which is ‘described as a deeply human yet high-velocity thriller that explores systemic American injustice in the context of bone-breaking action, ever-coiling suspense, and pitch-black humor’.

I’ve been working my way through the first season of Miami Vice again recently and boy, does that show still hold up 35 years on from when it first aired. Johnson delivers in spades and his chemistry with Philip Michael Thomas is amazing – and don’t get me started on the soundtrack.
Johnson also currently has a reboot of the great Nash Brigdes in the pipeline.
