A Touch Of Sadness Over MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6
I’m a little sad that the Mission: Impossible franchise is going to end its 20 year streak of having each filmed directed by different director.
Brian De Palma lit the blue touch paper back in 1996, John Woo continued the franchise, J.J Abrams called the shots on the third movie, Brad Bird injected fresh blood with Ghost Protocol and Christopher McQuarrie gave us this summer’s Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
It has now been confirmed that McQuarrie will return to write, produce and direct the sixth film in the Tom Cruise spy franchise. Rogue Nation was great – but I’m a man who likes tradition. I’ll have to choose to accept it.
Mission: Impossible 6 opens in 2017.
