A Man & His Dog: Tom Hanks Hits The Post-Apocalyptic Road In The Trailer For FINCH
This trailer for Tom Hanks starrer Finch is echoing a lot of other films. I’m getting vibes of The Martian, I Am Legend (in all its incarnation), The Midnight Sky and Hanks’ own Castaway.
Not get me wrong, this doesn’t look bad – in fact it looks like an enjoyable sci-fi adventure. The main question is – does Finch offer anything new to the last man on earth/lone survivor tale?
We’ll find out when Finch hits Apple TV on 5 November 2021.
The synopsis:
Tom Hanks is Finch, a man who embarks on a moving and powerful journey to find a new home for his unlikely family—his beloved dog and a newly created robot—in a dangerous and ravaged world.
