You can tell from the get-go that Tenet is a Christopher Nolan movie. It’s cool, calm, collected and visually impressive. This looks like yet another mind-bending epic thriller in the vein of his 2010 hit Inception and should deliver the type of big-budget action movie for adults which is usually reserved for the James Bond franchise.
Tenet has strong cast (John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh) and tech credits and it should play well when it opens on 17 July 2020.
My only fear is that this lacks the same sort of hook that made Inception such a unique monster hit a decade ago.
