The mighty Tom Cruise attended CinemaCon in Las Vegas alongside Mission: Impossible – Fallout director Christoper McQuarrie. That was expected. What wasn’t expected was the news that Cruise engaged in a stunt which saw him jump from a plane that was flying 30,000 feet above the ground. That’s an impressive feat, made even more impressive because he had to do it 105 times (wtf!) in order to make sure that the sequence was shot in twilight (there was only a 3 minute window every day). Henry Cavill joined him – showing us that he really can fly.
Cruise likes to do all sorts of crazy shit in the name of Mission: Impossible – and this is the latest in a long line of dangerous stunts he’s done since the franchise originated in 1996.
Movies In Focus is looking forward to seeing this on the big screen when it hits on 26 July 2018.
