The Mayhem Film Festival continues to announce titles – this week comes news that Joe Lynch’s Mayhem (fitting) and Simeon Halligan’s Habit will screen at the event (with a post-screening Q&A) alongside a live reading of the unmade Hammer production – Zeppelin vs Pterodactyls!
Habit sees ‘a young man working in a massage parlour discovers something dangerous and sinister lurking in the mysterious room no.9’, while Mayhem finds a man’ trapped within the law firm he has just been fired from, as a super virus making people lose all of their inhibitions condemns the building to quarantine’.
The Mayhem Film Festival has featured live stage readings in the last few years and following-on from 2015’s The Unquenchable Thirst of Dracula comes Zeppelin vs Pterodactyls.’ Based on a thought-lost outline from the Hammer Scripts Archive, now faithfully expanded into a full-length script by Mayhem Co-Director, Steven Sheil (Mum & Dad, Dead Mine), Zeppelin vs Pterodactyls will take you on an epic sci-fi adventure to a lost world beyond the arctic snows where prehistoric creatures may still roam’. I can’t wait for this one – Movies In Focus always loves a bit of Hammer.
